Ellensburg WineWorks & GuestHouse Ellensburg
Built in 1887 and located in the historic Pascal Grey Home on Main Street in Ellensburg, Washington; the history of Ellensburg WineWorks and GuestHouse Ellensburg is as complex as the wine served in the tasting room.
Owners Gordy and Cathy Wollen stayed true to the historic background of the property; furnishing the two upstairs suites of GuestHouse Ellensburg with British antiques. In April 2006, Ellensburg WineWorks, a full-service retail wine shop and tasting room opened in the downstairs portion of the home, and the rest, as they say, is history.

Gordy & Cathy Wollen
Owners
Apparently, owning the best restaurant in Ellensburg just isn't enough for
these two...they have to own the best wine shop too!
Ellensburg WineWorks is Gordy and Cathy's way of sharing their friendship,
kindness and love of life with you through wine, food and fun. Whether you
are driving through town, live next door, or are part of our online
community, Gordy and Cathy welcome you to Ellensburg WineWorks. They invite
you to stop in for an afternoon or stay for an entire weekend upstairs at
GuestHouse Ellensburg.

Gordy and Cathy's Wine Suggestion:
Gordy and Cathy agree with winemaker Don Corson's tasting notes - Camaraderie Cellars Grace - Grace is our proprietary name for this
Bordeaux-style blend. In the French, the word rhymes with "gloss" and means "thanks" and "blessing" and "elegance" and "charm." All these attributes accompany a good meal and the good life enjoyed with friends. At Camaraderie, we celebrate the philosophy that the best things in life are meant to be shared and our hope is that this wine will complement your favorite meal.

Matthew's Wine Suggestion:
Domaine Drouhin Pinot Noir - This Burgundian styled wine is my personal favorite due to its deep rich fungal nose and fabulous berry vibrance on the palate. It is a classic Pinot Noir with French soul and Oregon soil. Enjoy with the very best of friends. Cheers!

Susan's Wine Suggestion:
This Rhone blend has a beautiful ruby color with degrees of garnet. The aromas permeate with blackberry, peppery spice and black cherries. It is smooth on the palate but bold enough to stand up to most game meats. This wine is perfect with lamb chops, roasted veggetables and many cheeses.

Nina Rogers
Tasting Room
An appreciation of food and wine has been a foundation of Nina's since she was very young. Growing up with parents working in the industry has had an extreme influence on her and she has now taken those influences and made it into her own experiences. Traveling and tasting the state of Washington is her primary goal while learning about what the rest of the world has to offer wine-wise is her next endeavor.

Nina's Wine Suggestion:
Crisp, clean, and refreshing I abslolutely adore this wine. Fresh fruits, such as apple and pear, drizzled with honey really come through on the palette. This wine screams Thai food or a warm summer's afternoon.

Rhoda's Wine Suggestion:
This sparkling wine has a nice medium straw yellow color with slight green highlights It also has a very fine perlage and persistent crown. The nose is fine and delicate with youthful character. It is floral and fruity with notes of hawthorn, sage and citrus. The palate is light and sweet but not sirupy. It is pleasant and fresh with a bittersweet finish. Try this wine with grilled halved peaches topped with vanilla ice cream and drizzle it with this Moscato.
