Ellensburg WineWorks & GuestHouse Ellensburg
Built in 1887 and located in the historic Pascal Grey Home on Main Street in Ellensburg, Washington; the history of Ellensburg WineWorks and GuestHouse Ellensburg is as complex as the wine served in the tasting room.
Owners Gordy and Cat Wollen stayed true to the historic background of the property; furnishing the two upstairs suites of GuestHouse Ellensburg with British antiques. In April 2006, Ellensburg WineWorks, a full-service retail wine and beer bottle shop and tasting room opened in the downstairs portion of the home. In August of 2009 Ellensburg WineWorks also became a full-service wine bar, offering beer by the glass, wine by the glass and bottle and a menu including artisan cheeses, cured meats and olives.

Gordy's Wine Suggestion:
Camaraderie's Cab Franc is without a doubt KNOCK YOUR SOCKS OFF!!! The most recent vintages have only gotten better. Winemaker Don Corson gets his grapes from some of the best vineyards in Washington State and his hard work and dedication exemplify the fruit. This Cabernet Franc highlights some of the reasons that Cabernet Franc is beginning to turn heads. Depth of color, flavor, mouth feel; raspberries, not black berries, high palate tones, not plums and cherries - these are marks of Cabernet Franc. This Cabernet Franc is perfect with salmon. |

Matthew's Wine Suggestion:
Domaine Drouhin Pinot Noir - This Burgundian styled wine is my personal favorite due to its deep rich fungal nose and fabulous berry vibrance on the palate. It is a classic Pinot Noir with French soul and Oregon soil. Enjoy with the very best of friends. Cheers!

Susan's Wine Suggestion:
The color shows a dark purple center leading to a bright Ruby rim, with a penetrating nose of dark fruits consisting of Blackberries, Blueberries and Currants with a distinct hint of Dark Chocolate. On the palate the wine is loaded with Cassis, Blueberries and Creamy Vanilla, leading to a long finish of unsweetened cocoa and allspice, combining power, elegance and complexity. 90 Points Wine Advocate

Rhoda's Wine Suggestion:
This sparkling wine has a nice medium straw yellow color with slight green highlights It also has a very fine perlage and persistent crown. The nose is fine and delicate with youthful character. It is floral and fruity with notes of hawthorn, sage and citrus. The palate is light and sweet but not sirupy. It is pleasant and fresh with a bittersweet finish. Try this wine with grilled halved peaches topped with vanilla ice cream and drizzle it with this Moscato.
